We are now looking for a Technical Data Manager to join our cross-functional Data Management team in Helsinki, to build best possible Procurement Analytics for the world’s largest organizations.

Data Management team’s core responsibility is to enable Sievo clients making most out of their procurement data assets. We take charge of managing and enriching our client's data, enabling their organizations to achieve various business goals through data utilization. These goals include enhancing supplier relationship management, optimizing costs, implementing strategic sourcing practices, promoting sustainability initiatives, and more. By effectively managing and leveraging procurement data, we support our clients in driving their business objectives forward.

As our Technical Data Manager, you will:

  • Develop and configure logic related to procurement data classification in our client environments
  • Translate Sievo customers’ procurement analytics needs into sustainable technical solutions
  • Drive internal and (cross) customer development projects to improve efficiency we provide the service as well as within the data management function as a whole
  • Act as a subject matter expert in client consultations, providing valuable insights and guidance in data management topics
  • Identify user needs, whether they're from our customers or internal stakeholders, in relation to data management
  • Work closely with our product, data engineering and modernization teams to develop and implement effective solutions company-wide as well as solving multi-faceted client cases
  • Roll up your sleeves and dive into SQL databases, and other Sievo application tools as well as gaining deep understanding of our AI Algorithms
  • Provide senior-level guidance, training and mentoring to data management colleagues in global team level
  • Develop and maintain data management documentation and best practices

What typically serves as a good starting point for the role?

  • Strong technical acumen, proven problem-solving skills
  • Genuine interest in troubleshooting and finding creative solutions
  • Strong understanding of data modelling and querying principles
  • Experience with SQL or transferable skills
  • Cross functional and cultural collaboration skills & along with being an active communicator
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to recognize and drive internal development

Bonus points for:

  • Previous IT customer support or consulting experience
  • Experience with data visualization and analytics, e.g. QlikSense
  • Project management experience
  • Languages skills such as French, German or Finnish
  • Understanding of procurement concepts, such as category management helps you to settle into this role

The salary range for the role is 3400-3600 EUR depending on previous experience and interview performance.
