While the value of good buyer-supplier relationships is well recognized, many companies fall short on truly leveraging the power of these relationships. As such, it is not just about having relationships, but it is about understanding the nature and value of those relationships, as well as how to proactively nurture them in good times and bad. This requires procurement to move to a new paradigm and mindset, pertaining not only to how to manage supplier relationships, but also how to manage relationships to internal stakeholders. In this session I will introduce you to what this means and how to make it happen. The insights will be based on two decades of research in this area, as well as multiple company projects that had better buyer-supplier relationships as its objective.
