About the role

As the Lead Software Engineer for our Frontend Platform team, your mission is to build a production-ready frontend ecosystem engineered from the ground up for autonomous and AI-assisted software development. This is a greenfield role where you will scale our early-stage architecture into a robust production environment and establish our core design system from scratch.

Instead of building a traditional developer platform solely for human engineers, you will design a highly deterministic repository structure, runtime abstractions, and strict architectural guardrails. Your primary goal is to ensure that AI agents have the high-fidelity context, type safety, and safety nets they need to safely ship high-performance UI features for our 5+ product engineering teams. You will head our Frontend Center of Excellence, redefining what it means to build software when AI is the primary author.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the frontend platform: Take technical ownership of our multi-tenant micro frontend architecture, driving the technical roadmap to establish a production-ready ecosystem for 15–20+ engineers.
  • Embed AI agents into the development lifecycle: Architect and standardize workflows where frontend features are predominantly generated by AI agents rather than through manual coding.
  • Build platform capabilities: Design and scale developer facing features inherent to high scale micro frontends, including independent deployment pipelines, preview environments, runtime sandboxing, etc.
  • Integrate design systems (Nice-to-have): Partner with design team to map design tokens and UX specifications into a unified, headless UI foundation, ensuring consistent theme adoption across all product teams.

What we're looking for

  • Platform Execution & Leadership: A technical driver who can take an in-progress architectural vision, establish momentum, and push it across the finish line. You know how to bring people along, influence across multiple product teams without formal authority, and manage the full platform lifecycle, from controlling bundle bloat to zero-downtime upgrades.
  • Frontend at Scale: Proven experience architecting and scaling frontend platforms for organizations of at least 15–20 developers. You have deep, practical expertise managing multi-team workspaces using Turbo, Nx, and pnpm, with a relentless focus on maximizing development speed and minimizing friction.
  • Agentic Workflow Mastery: Exceptional proficiency in prompting, orchestrating, and instructing AI agents to reliably generate production-grade features. You know how to make agents produce exactly what is required and how to tightly integrate them into the dev lifecycle.
  • Architectural Depth & Adaptability: High-level React and TypeScript expertise, used less for manual coding and more for reviewing, debugging, and verifying agent-generated architecture within complex multi-tenant environments. You possess the technical breadth to expand into backend and full-stack infrastructure as the system matures.

Salary range

Our salary range for a Lead Software Engineer is between 6200-7000 EUR, and we are open to discussing higher compensation for particularly senior profiles.
