Our US headquarters is located in downtown Chicago, our global headquarters is in Helsinki, Finland and we have opened a third office in Bucharest, Romania.
We are now looking for a new Senior Data Engineer to join our Chicago team!
About you
As a Senior Data Engineer , you would:
Together with your team members and the clients, develop an understanding of the clients’ procurement analytics needs
Work with a combination of Azure (ADF, Databricks), Microsoft SQL, Microsoft SSIS and Sievo’s own proprietary integration tools.
Utilize a robust understanding of database structures and knowledge of a variety of different ERPs to build robust, sustainable, and scalable data pipelines.
Design and build the data integrations and migrations required for Sievo applications and be able to document and communicate the process cross-functionally within the Sievo team.
Investigate and understand clients’ data on the cloud, on-premises ERPs, as well as third-party data such as market indices or external supplier data
Interface between Sievo’s integration field and customers' IT and project members
Provide active support and improvement ideas to our existing integration processes, striving to constantly improve our tools, internal workflow, and team practices.

Together with the client we convert their business requirements into procurement analytics capabilities to drive tangible value. You would be one of our technical experts in implementing and maintaining the automated integration processes between our customers’ ERPs and our Sievo procurement software.

What typically gives a good starting point for our next Senior Data Engineer?
At least 7 years of ETL experience
At least 3 years of Azure or other cloud-based Data Engineering experience
Being independent and able to take ownership
Ability to work under pressure as well as ability to take time off
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Desire to always learn new skills and develop existing ones
Interest in automating processes
Good communication and time-management skills
Knowledge of data best practices, with a focus on resource efficiency
Advanced SQL
Procurement experience and knowledge on ERPs such as SAP, Oracle EBS, Navision and/or M3 is highly valued
Fluency in English (Other language skills are greatly appreciated)
Extra points for:
Scripting knowledge like PowerShell or Python.
Experience in working with APIs (RESTful and SOAP) Integrations
Procurement Industry or Supply Chain Industry
Client facing experience
Consulting or project management experience
Fluent Spanish
