Sievo Culture

I’ve seen a number of #10YearChallenge reflections recently, so I wanted to offer ours. What’s changed at Sievo as we’ve growth over the past decade?
2009 was a very interesting time in Sievo and the business world in general. There was major downturn in the economy caused by the 2008 financial crisis, which definitely made the business environment challenging to everybody. Additionally we were going through a major shift in our business model as we were changing from traditional enterprise license pricing model to a subscription based pricing model. We were able to cope well with these challenges and now looking back 10 years I can only feel very proud of what the whole Sievo achieved in 2009 and every single year after that.
From 2009 we have been on constant growth track which has affected every part of the business. In terms of revenue we are over ten times the company than in 2009. Looking at the Sievo team, the number of Sievonians has multiplied many times over. A lot of new faces since 2009, but also quite a significant number of people still in the company from 2009. Even though the number of Sievonians has grown a lot we have been able to keep the original family feeling in the company, which makes me really happy. In 2017 we started our US office in Chicago and have had great success there. What is quite amazing is that by the end of 2019 our US team alone will be quite close in size to the whole Sievo team in end of 2009.
Though there has been a lot of changes and developments, the core of our business has not really changed too much. Back in 2009 Sievo was all about Procurement Analytics (though we did use a bit different terminology then) and in 2019 Sievo is still all about Procurement Analytics. Of course today the whole analytics market is really hot and growing fast, and everybody in Sievo is very excited to be able to leverage our long experience in the field to help our customers achieve tangible business benefits with analytics, artificial intelligence and big data.
10 years ago we couldn't have imagined working with over 150 Sievonians. And guess what, we are still growing. We are now recruiting new talent during the Sievo Summer Academy 2019. So either if you know someone, or you are our next family member, you already know where to go.
